It has the best abrasion resistance of all plastics, even exceeding some metallic materials, excellent impact resistance, stress cracking resistance, high temperature creep resistance, low coefficient of friction, self-lubrication, excellent chemical resistance, fatigue resistance, noise damping and nuclear radiation resistance. It can be used in temperatures ranging from -269°C to 100°C, with excellent cold resistance and some heat resistance.
